Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in cost control negotiations is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair Coordination: Manage and authorize outside tractor and trailer repairs as appropriate.
• Cost Control: Control maintenance expenditures while supporting equipment reliability and utilization within industry standards.
• Parts Purchasing: Purchase maintenance parts and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Maintenance Program: Support administration of the vehicle maintenance program and ongoing fleet maintenance operations.
• Process Improvement: Participate in projects to improve departmental productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Driver Relationships: Develop productive relationships with drivers to support communication and retention.
• Professional Development: Participate in training and stay current with developments in the profession.
