Job summary

DMT Trucking is seeking a Breakdown Coordinator to receive inbound calls and coordinate maintenance issues between drivers, vendors, and stakeholders. The role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service and problem solving for our GREAT team.

The ideal candidate will have call center or service writer experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and flexibility to work daytime and occasional after-hours shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience (Preferred)
• Previous call center, service writer, or mechanical experience (Preferred)
• Experience in the transportation industry (Preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and coordinate maintenance needs with drivers and vendors.
• Create repair orders within Fleetio and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Negotiate pricing for tires, parts and services when needed.
• Work with maintenance team on planning, organizing, and executing repair plans.
• Notify operations, safety, and risk management about breakdowns and incidents promptly.
• Review emails and address actions; monitor OEM action codes as needed.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA regulations are followed and repairs are authorized.
