Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a License & Title Associate to manage licensing and titling of new vehicles and equipment across operating companies. You will apply federal and state laws, prepare necessary taxes, and maintain records in the Maximo Fleet System.

The role requires 4 years of fleet or titling experience, an associate degree or high school diploma, and ability to work with internal and external customers. Positions available in multiple Ohio locations with some travel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma/GED.
• Four years Fleet experience or titling experience in various states.
• Knowledge of state and federal licensing laws.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze MCO on each new vehicle to determine the legal entity.
• License and title vehicles and equipment per state laws.
• License and title vehicles per federal laws.
• Ensure proper taxes are paid at state and local level.
• Report information to the IRS as necessary.
• Update the Maximo Fleet System as necessary.
• Use accounts payable or company card to purchase and document each license plate and title.
