Job summary

Futures Inc. in West Hartford, CT, seeks a Fleet and Facilities Manager to oversee a fleet of ~45 vehicles and five properties. You will lead maintenance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets, vendors, and safety initiatives.

This full-time, exempt role reports to the CFO and requires hands-on leadership, independent judgment, and strong organizational skills to keep operations safe, compliant, and cost-effective across Connecticut.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in facilities management, business administration, automotive technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in fleet management, fleet dispatch, facilities management, building maintenance, or related field.
• Knowledge of Connecticut DMV and DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, registration, insurance, and fleet safety requirements.
• Valid Connecticut driver's license; V Endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet of ~45 vehicles including registrations, insurance, inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety logs.
• Manage five organizational properties with regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, DMV, fire safety, building codes) and manage safety training and corrective actions.
• Establish centralized work order system for facilities and divisions; monitor progress and communicate status to leadership.
• Develop and monitor fleet and facilities budgets with CFO; manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
• Provide leadership to maintenance staff, area vehicle coordinators, and contractors; report significant issues to leadership.
