Job summary

Altorfer is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support sales management, reps, and customers with daily requests and equipment needs. You will become an expert on the product to provide the expertise required for sales support.

You will coordinate orders, shipments, invoicing, DBSi reporting, and dealer relationships while ensuring accurate data entry and timely communications. Local travel and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with DBSi or ability to learn DBSi.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a changing workload.
• Strong financial negotiating skills.
• Proven leadership and strong customer service skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
• Some local travel will be required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of a machine sale from order to shipment and invoicing.
• Place orders for stock inventory, work tools, or new business within product group lines.
• Report all sales activity to Caterpillar through DBSi for the product grouping.
• Locate and transfer machinery to fulfill a sale.
• Develop relationships with Caterpillar dealers and outside suppliers.
• Communicate shipping instructions to the Central Transportation Manager to meet customer instructions.
• Set up demonstrations and equipment loaners for sales reps and follow up on adherence to policy.
• Request PDI and additional work from the Service Department per customer specs.
• Keep sales reps and management informed of product problems and delivery issues.
• Enter received equipment and reconcile DBSi system within 24 hours of paperwork.
