Job summary

Altorfer Cat is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support sales management, reps and customers. You will manage orders, shipments and invoicing for Cat equipment, and coordinate DBSi-based reporting.

The role emphasizes organization, negotiation, and strong customer service in a fast-paced environment. Primary duties include coordinating machine sales, transferring equipment between dealers, arranging demonstrations, and communicating with transportation and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience with DBSi system or ability to learn.
• Military and veterans encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to travel locally.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of a machine sale from ordering to shipment and invoicing.
• Place all orders for stock, work tools or new business within Cat groups.
• Report sales activity to Caterpillar through DBSi.
• Locate/transfer machinery between Cat dealers to fulfill a sale.
• Develop relationships with Caterpillar dealers and suppliers.
• Communicate shipping instructions to the Central Transportation Manager.
• Set up demonstrations and equipment loaners for sales reps.
• Initate requests to Service for PDI’s and needed work.
• Enter received equipment and relieve sold/rented machines within 24 hours.
• Inventory and DBSi system reconciliation.
• Process all new, used and rental sales invoices.
• Provide backup support for coordinators during absences.
• Keep sales team informed on status of sold machines.
• Provide reporting on noncompliance or issues to Sales/Operations Manager.
