Job summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is hiring a Dispatcher in California. You will support the Dispatch Supervisor, create and manage routes, ensure paperwork is complete, and promote safe driving habits while representing the company with customers and internal teams.

The role includes coordinating with drivers, handling will-call and metro routes, and backing up the supervisor and e-commerce team. Training and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• 1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi).
• 1 year experience in transportation industry.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and legal requirements for drivers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally; push up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drivers complete all required daily paperwork: Driver logs, pre and post-trip inspections, and fuel receipts.
• Ensure drivers are completing customer returns within 3 days of creation.
• Assist with will-call customers.
• Assist with reviewing Samsara driving alerts.
• Track drivers on Elite and close out all routes and open orders daily.
• Train drivers on PIV, tablet, and safety expectations (road tests involved).
• Complete all routing requests before scheduled cut-off times.
• Backup for Dispatch Supervisor and EComm.
• Assign lines to be pulled by material handlers for will-call and metro routes.
• Answer phone calls professionally and timely.
• Communicate with call center, sales, customers, drivers and other locations.
• Spot check trucks for cleanliness and compliance; assist drivers when breakdowns occur.
