Job summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, is seeking a Dispatcher to support the Dispatch Supervisor in routing, driver logs, and safe driving practices. You will serve as the liaison with customers and internal teams, ensuring timely updates and accurate records.

Responsibilities include managing driver routes, reviewing alerts, coordinating will-call and backup coverage, and promoting a safe, compliant work environment while maintaining professional communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• 1 year driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi).
• 1 year experience in transportation industry.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and legal requirements for drivers.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
• Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts).
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to exert a pushing force up to 40 pounds, etc.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drivers complete daily paperwork: Driver logs, inspections, and fuel receipts.
• Ensure drivers complete customer returns within 3 days of creation.
• Assist with will-call customers.
• Assist with reviewing Samsara driving alerts.
• Track drivers on Elite and close out routes and orders daily.
• Train drivers on PIV, tablet, and safety expectations.
• Complete routing requests before scheduled cut-off times.
• Backup for Dispatch Supervisor and EComm.
• Assign lines to be pulled by material handlers for will-call and metro routes.
• Answer calls professionally; communicate with call center, sales, customers, drivers and locations.
• Spot check trucks for cleanliness and compliance, assist drivers when a breakdown occurs.
• Backup driver, order pulling, operate power equipment as needed.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
