Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel fleet, including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and safe operation, with opportunities for growth through certifications and ASE credentials.

The position offers a pathway to advanced ASE certifications and includes a tool reimbursement plan. Shift differential pay is available, and candidates with ASE Master Certification receive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (preferred).
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of FedEx Apprentice Program.
• ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble and adjusts equipment for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents maintenance in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and documents the work.
• Paint and body work on vehicles, as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
