Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Clinton, NC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair the company fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include repairing mechanical systems, keeping accurate records, and collaborating with the lead technician. A high school diploma or GED is required, with welding and diesel experience preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years as a diesel mechanic.
• Preferred: Vocational/technical diploma; CDL-A is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostic testing.

Responsabilidades

• Performs repairs and maintenance in a productive, safe manner.
• Diagnoses problems and tests repairs; records time and parts used.
• Operates hoisting and jacking equipment; performs preventive maintenance.
• Trains/assists other mechanics as required; follows safety and environmental policies.
• Reports environmental issues and adheres to EMS, SIPS and BMS policies.
