Job summary

Waste-Pro is seeking an experienced A Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty and light-duty truck systems, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG. You will diagnose drive train, engine, and transmission issues and perform welding as needed.

You will work with Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, and McNeilus equipment, maintaining safety and compliance while supporting coworkers and completing required paperwork. A CDL and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair drive train components as part of fleet maintenance.
• Inspect and repair general engine systems for heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Diagnose transmission issues and perform repairs.
• Repair electrical and hydraulic systems as needed.
• Adhere to all safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Provide guidance and direction to shop technicians.
• May involve welding and fabrication as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics for a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles.
• Repair of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus trucks and equipment.
• Support coworkers to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Complete all required paperwork promptly and concisely.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe work area in compliance with standards.
• Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintain high ethics and dependability.
