Job summary

Waste Pro USA is seeking an experienced A Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy and light duty trucks. This role may involve welding and fabrication.

You will maintain fleet vehicles including Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, and McNeilus equipment, ensure safe operation, complete paperwork, and uphold OSHA standards in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on experience with medium-duty class 8 vehicles.
• Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair drive trains and engines.
• Transmission inspection, diagnosis and repair expertise.
• Ability to review outside repair inspections.
• Assess structural damage and plan needed repairs.
• Provide guidance to shop technicians.
• CDL Class B preferred or obtainable.
• Ability to obtain 7 ASE Certifications within 36 months.
• OSHA safety requirements knowledge; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles including heavy and light duty trucks.
• Perform maintenance and repair on Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus equipment.
• Assist coworkers to maintain safe, efficient shop operations.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow safety policies and keep work area clean.
• Use vehicle computer systems to diagnose failures and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Adhere to high standards of ethics and dependability.
