Verizon is seeking an experienced automotive mechanic for an onsite NY location. You will maintain and repair a range of fleet vehicles and equipment, diagnose issues with test equipment, and coordinate with users on repairs. A CDL and multiple certifications are required or must be obtained within specified timeframes.

This on-site role requires physical capability to handle heavy equipment and adherence to safety standards. Schedule is 40 hours per week, with potential overtime as needed.

Formación

• 5+ years' experience as a mechanic or related role.
• CDL license or Commercial Learner's Permit (CDL required within 6 months).
• NY State Safety Inspection License (or obtain within 6 months).
• Air Brakes Inspection certification (or obtain within 6 months).
• MACS/EPA refrigerant handling certification (or obtain within 6 months).
• Valid state driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repair of all types of motor vehicles and equipment in Verizon fleet.
• Diagnose and repair equipment including aerial lifts, generators, tools, etc.
• Use test equipment to diagnose vehicle problems and interface with users.
• Perform inspections per OSHA, ANSI, emissions, and state requirements.
• Maintain fleet maintenance records, inventory, and time reporting.
