Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic or equivalent.
• CDL license required within 6 months of hire.
• Must meet federal and state vehicle size standards.
• MA State Safety Inspection License (or obtain within 6 months).
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Air Brakes inspection certificate (or obtain within 6 months).
• MACS refrigerant handling certification (or obtain within 6 months).
• Safety-related requirements per OSHA and company policy.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of Verizon fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair company equipment including aerial lifts and generators.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify vehicle problems.
• Interact with vehicle users regarding repairs and questions.
• Complete safety inspections and keep records in systems.
• Maintain parts inventory and time reporting in maintenance software.
• Obtain and maintain required licenses and certificates.
• Work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
