Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a diesel vehicle technician in Glen Allen, VA to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will perform preventative maintenance and document work orders, with road call responsibilities as needed.

The role offers Sunday-Thursday 2:00pm–10:30pm, comprehensive benefits from Day 1, training opportunities, uniforms, and tool allowance; ideal for experienced technicians with 5+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of medium/heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet diesel equipment.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and related systems.
• Ensure roadworthy licensing and registration.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the system.
• Install and repair onboard computers.
• Train other employees.
