Job summary

Performance Food Group's fleet services team seeks a skilled technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will perform preventive maintenance, parts replacement, and on-road service, ensuring compliance with state and federal trucking rules.

Training and uniforms are provided. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in heavy-duty repair, and EPA/DOT certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform repairs as required.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings for proper operation.
• Ensure roadworthiness via licensing and registration checks.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the online system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and various tools.
• Train other employees and perform related duties as assigned.
