Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleet, including tractors and trailers, with emphasis on electrical diagnostics and onboard computer systems.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, document all work orders, and perform road-call services as needed. The role offers day-one benefits and a schedule Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical training a plus.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs and diagnostic work.
• Experience with air and HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration/drivetrain components.
• Certifications in tire & wheel, brakes, EPA, or DOT inspections are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units).
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform required repairs.
• Ensure roadworthy licensing/registration and document work orders in the system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers; inspect brakes, steering, bearings and related parts.
