Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair and service a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles in Houston, TX. The role involves heavy and light duty trucks, with potential welding and fabrication work as needed.

Qualified candidates will diagnose engine, transmission, brake and electrical systems, utilize service manuals, and maintain a safe, organized work area while adhering to OSHA standards. CDL-B is preferred and 3–5 years of hands-on experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of medium duty class 8 vehicles.
• Experience with refuse/recycling fleets preferred.
• CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain.
• Familiarity with factory service manuals for repairs.
• Ability to use computers for data tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics for a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles.
• Maintenance and repair of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles.
• Support safety and efficiency in maintenance operations.
• Complete required paperwork promptly.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Utilize vehicle computer electronics to diagnose failures.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintain high ethics and dependability.
