Job summary

Waste Pro in Gulfport, MS seeks an experienced A Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on our refuse and recycling fleet. You will work with Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles, using factory service manuals and on-board diagnostics while maintaining OSHA safety compliance and a clean, efficient shop environment.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair drive train, engine, transmission and electrical systems.
• Experience with medium duty class 8 vehicles preferred.
• OSHA safety standards knowledge and compliance.
• CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain.
• 7 ASE Certifications or equivalent within 36 months.
• 3-5 years hands-on maintenance experience.
• Ability to use vehicle diagnostics and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean shop environment.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Support coworkers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist with lifting and physical tasks as needed.
