Job summary

Walmart in Spring Valley, IL is seeking an experienced Fleet Development trainer to design and deliver driver training programs, certifications, and performance feedback.

You will facilitate content with leadership, audit training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across regional training centers, including classroom and virtual delivery methods. This role emphasizes guidance, collaboration with stakeholders, and adherence to Walmart’s values.

Qualifications

• Current holder of an interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement (or will obtain) within 120 days.
• 3 years’ experience in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the last7 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI/DWI/OUI or reckless driving in the last 10 years.
• No preventable accidents in the last 3 years (DOT recordable incidents).
• Preferred: 250,000 miles over-the-road tractor/trailer experience.
• Preferred: training or facilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and improve action plans; provide expert guidance in information and practices.
• Engage in content teach-backs and co-facilitation of Driver Trainee training with leadership.
• Support and implement business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders and driving processes.
• Conduct facilitation audits and One Best Way consistency tours in Regional Training Centers.
• Model compliance with policies and Walmart values; promote integrity and ethics in business practices.
• Deliver training across Regional Training Centers using multiple modalities; monitor VR training usage and day-end activities.
• Hire, train, mentor associates; assign duties, recognize contributions, and foster belonging.
