  • Oversee disposals and sales of surplus vehicles per policy.
  • Oversee the WEX fuel card program for the department.
  • Serve as backup to other General Services tasks such as mail and facility requests.

This position will be located at Lewis & Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri.

The purpose of the Fleet Coordinator position is to manage the department’s fleet, including vehicles, trailers, boats, motors, UTVs and ATVs.This position provides purchasing and operational assistance to the programs.The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for replacement analysis and usage of the fleet.It helps ensure all program’s fleet are compliant with applicable state statutes and regulations.

  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of licensed vehicles through a combination of database management as well as the SAM II Fixed Asset system.
  • Develop an annual vehicle replacement plan by analyzing vehicle utilization and condition while coordinating with department vehicle users to prioritize needs.
  • Manage the receipt of new vehicles, track the purchases to ensure they are delivered as scheduled and to the proper location and correct paperwork is received. Process or monitor the processing of all Department of Revenue forms and data entry of vehicle information into the Fleet System. Maintain all titles.
  • Assist with budget input and development regarding vehicles.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on vehicle use, maintenance and repairs, assignment, replacement, and other aspects of vehicle operation.
  • Ensure disposals and sales of surplus vehicles are completed in accordance with state and department policies and procedures, updating records as needed, and maintaining accurate inventory of the fleet.
  • Oversee the management of the WEX fuel card program for the department.
  • Serve as backup to other General Services Program tasks such as mail and facility requests.

Equivalent to those typically gained by
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
