Winterberry Gardens in Southington, CT is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee all company vehicles and attachments, including maintenance, inspections, inventory, DOT compliance, vendor contracts, and fuel strategy.

You will supervise technicians, conduct shop meetings, influence hiring decisions, train staff, and evaluate performance while building strong relationships with managers, vendors, and employees. This is a year-round, full-time, benefits-eligible role.

Qualificações

• Minimum five years of experience in fleet management/maintenance.
• Knowledge of landscape industry equipment/maintenance programs.
• Experience with state, federal and local regulations related to fleet safety/permits.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to perform preventive repair.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations as well as write reports and procedure manuals.
• Must possess a valid drivers license. (Class A preferred)
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but a combination of education and experience will be considered

Responsabilidades

• Manage all company vehicle and attachments, including replacement analysis, repairs, inspections and inventory control.
• Oversee DOT compliance, vendor contracts and fuel strategy.
• Supervise technicians, conduct shop meetings and participate in hiring decisions.
• Train employees and evaluate performance; develop strong working relationships with managers, employees and vendors.
