Surus Group, a division of Concordia Wireless, seeks a Fleet Manager to oversee an ~80-unit fleet for telecommunications construction and field operations from Carol Stream. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, maintenance, and utilization to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has hands-on fleet management experience in telecom/construction and DOT audits, with strong vendor management, data analysis, and recordkeeping skills. Base salary ranges with annual bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fleet management experience in telecommunications, utility, construction, or related industries.
• Experience managing a fleet of 50+ vehicles/units preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and transportation audit experience; training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and CMV requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office/Excel and fleet-management software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a fleet of ~80 units including trucks, trailers and support vehicles.
• Maintain fleet records, registrations, inspections, and vehicle assignments.
• Monitor utilization, mileage, fuel, maintenance costs, and downtime.
• Coordinate vehicle assignments with operations and field management.
• Develop processes to maximize utilization and control costs.
• Manage acquisition, replacement, disposal, and lease/rental activities.
