Job summary

Curtin Co is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee our nationwide fleet operations, including vehicles and heavy equipment. You will manage lifecycle analysis, vendor relationships, and budgeting to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective assets.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, plus experience with fleet management software and telematics. On-site work in Clover, SC with collaboration across operations and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of fleet, maintenance, or transportation experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy highway construction and related equipment.
• Advanced analytical, budgeting, and cost-control skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cost‑benefit of maintaining aging equipment versus acquiring new or leased assets.
• Perform lifecycle analysis to determine useful lifespan and maintenance trends.
• Develop data‑driven recommendations for fleet additions, leasing, and disposals.
• Research new technologies and fleet tools to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Track acquisitions and ensure proper documentation and policy alignment.
• Oversee registrations, titles, taxes, and related compliance for fleet assets.
• Oversee maintenance scheduling and prioritize service across all assets.
• Coordinate internal/external resources to resolve mechanical issues.
• Ensure DOT regulations and company policies are met with proper maintenance docs.
• Evaluate cost-effective repair methods balancing price, parts, downtime, and needs.
• Conduct site visits to support quality control and fleet readiness.
• Support yard operations with equipment and material requests.
