Job summary

Lighthouse Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Specialist to manage the day-to-day administration of our vehicle and equipment fleet, including asset tracking, title and registration processing, and DOT compliance.

The Fleet Specialist will work with operations, safety, and procurement to keep the fleet properly licensed, documented, and compliant with federal and state regulations. This role reports to the Fleet Manager and supports audits and multi-state registrations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with vehicle title and registration processing across multiple states.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance requirements (driver qualification files, inspections, IFTA/IRP).
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing renewal/compliance dates.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with DMV offices, vendors, and internal teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or relevant certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Manage fleet data within the fleet management system and ensure audit readiness.
• Coordinate with Fleet Manager on new vehicle/equipment additions and decommissions.
• Manage auxiliary fleet programs – fuel cards, telematics, EZ-Pass.
• Handle vehicle accident claims and regulatory documentation.
• Generate reports on fleet inventory, utilization, and asset status for leadership.
