Job summary

UPS in Springfield, VA is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems such as CNG/LNG, hybrid, and electric in select locations.

Expect troubleshooting of hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls. You will meet DOT requirements, work various shifts per location needs, and bring your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Maintains delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.
• Troubleshoots and maintains hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions and uses power and pneumatic tools.
• Meets D.O.T requirements and follows safety protocols.
