Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join its fleet maintenance team in the United States. The technician will service a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers with propulsion systems ranging from diesel to electric in some locations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls, with shifts including 2nd or 3rd.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• CDL (A/B) - Preferred.
• Reliable with regular, timely attendance.
• Flexible to varying shifts and overtime.
• Wears required PPE as needed.
• Works in variable environments and temperatures.
• Communicates effectively with the team.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as applicable.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, climbs stairs, stands and walks as needed.
• Sits infrequently; maintains posture for long periods as required.
• Manages hand and power tool operations safely.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions; uses power tools.
