Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to support a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers. The role covers diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuels, with diagnostic and tool usage required.

You will handle transmission operation, safety procedures, and tool use across varied shifts. The position emphasizes compliance with DOT rules, physical stamina, tool readiness, and the ability to work in different environments.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and PC.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or CDL - Preferred.
• Dependable with regular and timely attendance.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Wears PPE as required.
• Works in variable conditions and noise.
• Communicates effectively to perform tasks and stay safe.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T. requirements for the job.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting and climbing as part of daily tasks.
• Sits infrequently as needed.
• Handles hand grasping and fine motor tasks.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions.
• Uses power and pneumatic tools.
