Job summary

UPS seeks a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team in North Carolina. You will maintain a diverse range of delivery vehicles and trailers, diagnose systems, and ensure safe operation of propulsion and braking systems.

The role requires hands-on electrical and engine control work, ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, and readiness to follow DOT requirements. Training and PPE provided; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Meets the D.O.T. requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently during the workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, during the workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required.
• Works in environments with varying temperatures and humidity, dust, dirt, and noise.
• Communicates effectively to perform tasks and maintain safety.
