Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to maintain a diverse fleet, including delivery vehicles and heavy-duty tractors with diesel, natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electric propulsion. Role may require second or third shifts across various schedules at different locations.

Must have the tools to perform assigned tasks and ensure DOT compliance. Strong diagnostic and electrical system skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, air brakes, and engines.

Qualifications

• Current automotive repair experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Possesses a full set of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B CDL - Preferred.
• Reliable and punctual with regular attendance.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet DOT requirements for the job assignment.
• Perform safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Assist and operate standard and manual transmissions and tools.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Follow safety protocols and work cooperatively in a diverse team.
