Job summary

SCG Fields, LLC is seeking a Fleet & Asset Manager to lead our nationwide fleet, heavy equipment, and construction assets. You will build and maintain best-in-class processes, ensure safety compliance, and optimize asset utilization across multiple job sites.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with project teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Opportunity for growth in a fast-growing field operations environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in heavy equipment and fleet operations management.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
• Experience with fleet management software and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with project teams.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet of construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, tools, and portable assets across sites.
• Coordinate equipment transport, transfers, and logistics between jobs.
• Schedule equipment to maximize utilization and meet project timelines.
• Maintain inventory records, registrations, warranties, and insurance docs.
• Monitor utilization, engine hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and performance.
• Develop asset tracking procedures to reduce loss and improve accountability.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs and repair workflows.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, dealers, rental providers, and suppliers; manage contracts and invoices.
• Administer fleet management software, GPS/telematics, and reporting; drive continuous improvement.
