Job summary

Wingstop is seeking a Kitchen Cook in Covington, GA to prepare high-quality wings and sides while maintaining Wingstop's standards. You will ensure consistent flavor, safety, and speed, working in a busy kitchen with emphasis on hygiene and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, efficient multitasking, and a positive guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant cooking is preferred, and flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Professional cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Line cook: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Wingstop experience
• Ability to practice safe cooking procedures
• Quickly scan and comprehend the order tickets
• Accurately count the number of Wing portions and sides for each order
• Coordinate the cooking time of wings and fries with timers
• Sauce, season and package all orders according to Wingstop standards
• Count cooked wings and cups into the proper sauce bowls
• Cook and prepare wings and fries in the proper fryers and baskets
• Filter and refresh fryer shortening daily with proper safety equipment
• Keep the kitchen clean throughout the shift and at closing time
• Notify Manager on Duty of safety or sanitation concerns
• Assist other employees as needed
• Follow directions from Manager or Supervisor
• Understand and follow hygiene and food handling practices
• Use chemical cleaning products safely and correctly
