Job summary

VIP, Inc. is looking for an Installation Technician/Flat Rate Technician in Needham Heights, MA to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems. You will follow VIP safety and service standards, complete work orders, and participate in the 5-for-5 customer engagement process.

Responsibilities include safe operation, use of proper parts, and maintaining productivity and quality throughout each shift. ASE/State inspections and certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals, or procedures.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Ability to perform the automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety policies are followed and training completed.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on automotive systems.
• Initiate and display Service Work Orders during service.
• Complete required prints and return to Service Desk with keys.
• Obtain parts from Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Return cores and tires to designated areas.
• Maintain minimum 16-week productivity average.
• Follow VIP quality service standards and complete required training.
• Educate customers about their vehicle condition via 5-for-5 process.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as needed.
