Job summary

Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a Callaway, MD based company actively seeking an experienced Service Director to oversee operations across several sites. You will own multiple service departments and drive profit improvement while building teams and maintaining an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of upward automotive fixed ops leadership (Service Manager/Fixed Ops Manager or equivalent)
• Excellent people skills managing customers and technicians
• Proven wins leading service operations in high-volume retail automotive
• Fluent in reading department financials and interpreting core service KPIs
• Ability to attract, grow and retain top-performing teams
• Gains in tech productivity, labor sales growth, guest retention, and bottom-line performance
• Working proficiency in DMS platforms, CDK preferred, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Run all daily department functions spanning scheduling, staffing, throughput, workflow, and profitability
• Source, onboard, coach, and retain Service Advisors, Technicians, Dispatchers, and support roles
• Monitor performance indicators: repair order volume, effective labor rate, technician efficiency, labor gross, CSI, warranty metrics, retention
• Collaborate with Parts, Sales, and executive leadership to lift fixed operations output
• Maintain alignment with manufacturer standards, warranty rules, safety requirements, and company policy
• Create scalable processes and operating disciplines to support future expansion
• Handle escalated concerns and maintain guest experience at the forefront
• Own department forecasting, expense management, and financial goal attainment
• Provide support as needed
