Job summary

State of South Carolina seeks an accounting professional to maintain records, verify transactions, and support inventory management. You will work with the Supply Manager to tag, organize, track, and screen or dispose of inventory while ensuring complete and compliant documentation.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business and at least two years of government accounting experience, including familiarity with Banner and asset reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• At least 2 years accounting experience with knowledge of state and federal governmental fiscal and accounting processes.
• Experience with Banner financial system and asset management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and verify/document financial transactions.
• Collaborate with Supply Manager to tag, organize, track, and screen/dispose/transfer inventory.
• Reconcile fixed asset financial reports and ensure compliance with state guidelines.
• Cross-train on other finance office procedures as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
