Job summary

SSA Marine in Seattle is seeking an Accounting Manager, Fixed Assets to lead fixed asset accounting and capitalization across Carrix's global operations. You will manage a team of accounting professionals and partner with senior leadership on capital investments and project lifecycles.

This role requires GAAP expertise, strong communication, and the ability to drive process improvements, with responsibilities spanning month-end close, internal controls, audits, and consolidated reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including fixed asset accounting and capitalization in a multi-entity org.
• 3+ years leading accounting/finance professionals.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and capitalization policies.
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial systems (Blackline, Hyperion).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Public accounting or advisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach a team of accounting professionals on fixed asset accounting.
• Maintain capitalization policies and governance standards across the org.
• Oversee fixed asset activities: additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close for fixed assets with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure intercompany and related-party fixed asset transactions are identified and reconciled.
• Coordinate consolidated fixed asset reporting and related analyses.
• Develop and monitor fixed asset internal controls for compliance.
• Oversee fixed asset audit activities with internal/external audits.
• Analyze complex accounting transactions to support business decisions.
• Partner with Strategy/Operations on capital projects and capitalization through the lifecycle.
• Review CIP activity and transfer completed projects into service per policies.
• Develop capitalization metrics and reporting for senior leadership.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve fixed asset processes and data integrity.
