Job summary

Edgewell Personal Care is seeking a Staff Accountant, Fixed Assets to support the North America Controllership team. You will handle fixed asset accounting, depreciation, CIP, and asset reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.

This role requires collaboration with Operations Finance, Engineering, and IT. Hybrid role based in Shelton, CT or NYC, with month-end and year-end close responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and audits, reflecting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Understanding of US GAAP, including depreciation and asset accounting.
• Experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel with data analysis.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post fixed asset-related journal entries in compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
• Perform monthly fixed asset account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items on time.
• Support accounting for capital asset additions, disposals, transfers, retirements, depreciation, and other fixed asset activity.
• Assist with construction-in-progress (CIP) tracking and asset placement into service.
• Work with cross-functional teams to obtain support for capital projects and fixed asset transactions.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to fixed assets, depreciation, and capital spending.
