Job summary

Kforce Inc. is helping a client in Princeton, NJ hire a Staff Accountant responsible for end-to-end fixed asset accounting, month-end close support, and reporting. The role blends in-office and remote work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) while leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools to improve data accuracy and asset insights.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in public accounting or corporate accounting, a bachelor’s in accounting, and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP related to fixed assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• 2-3 years of experience in public accounting audit or corporate accounting.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially fixed asset accounting.
• Strong internal controls and reporting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software like SAP or OneStream XF is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform fixed asset accounting to support month-end close.
• Reconcile fixed asset accounts to general ledger monthly.
• Prepare fixed asset roll-forwards and schedules for SEC disclosures.
• Assist with controller package preparation for senior management.
• Support internal and external auditors with requested deliverables.
• Assist with asset system upgrades and process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve asset tracking and reporting.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
