Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and disposal, while supporting month-end close and financial reporting.

This hybrid role based in Princeton, NJ, requires 2–3 years of accounting experience, U.S. GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with SAP S/4HANA or OneStream XF. You will collaborate cross-functionally to maintain accurate asset data and enable transparent reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
• 2–3 years of experience in general accounting and/or financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially fixed asset accounting.
• Analytical mindset with data analysis and spreadsheet skills.
• Proficiency with SAP or OneStream XF and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Enter new fixed assets and changes to existing fixed assets into the fixed assets accounting system.
• Communicate with various departments to obtain relevant information for proper fixed asset accounting.
• Perform fixed asset accounting to support monthly close and general ledger accuracy.
• Reconcile fixed asset accounts and prepare roll-forwards.
• Assist with schedules for quarterly controller’s packages and SEC disclosures.
• Support auditors and SOX controls; back up lease accounting as needed.
• Leverage AI tools to improve reporting efficiency.
