The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, MI is seeking a Regular Part Time Housekeeper to join our guest services team. The role pays $18.00 per hour and involves turn-down service, room tidiness, and attentive guest interactions.

You will stock rooms, handle guest requests, maintain five-diamond standards, and support housekeeping and laundry as needed. A professional demeanor and reliable teamwork are essential in this hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with franchise standards and procedures.
• Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and guests.
• Must be organized and able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Turn down bed coverings and prepare guest rooms.
• Place chocolates, bottled water, and ice in proper locations.
• Close draperies and adjust lighting.
• Turn on radio and dim lights to create ambience.
• Lay out bath robes and slippers and perform light housekeeping.
• Complete the 20-item Turn Down Checklist for up to 50 rooms per day.
• Maintain five-diamond and five-star standards per industry guidelines.
• Address guest requests and escalate to management when needed.
• Return items left behind by guests to management.
• Identify problems that affect service and cleanliness.
• Keep turn-down carts and supplies organized and ready.
• Assist with guest room cleaning or laundry as required.
• Assist with public area cleaning.
