Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure in Adelanto, CA seeks a skilled welder/fitter to lay out, align, and fit components per plans. You will weld, cut, grind, and finish joints, while managing documentation and material movement with an overhead crane.

The role requires FCAW/SMAW/SAW weld qualifications, and experience with torches, grinders, and hand tools. Expect variable shifts, potential overtime, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• On the job training by other fitters who have experience, knowledge and insight into the job. Qualified by performance.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together according to plans and specifications
• Performs cleaning and grinding as required.
• Grinds welds and end finish.
• Cuts products with torch and other tools.
• Tacks product according to plans and specifications
• Completes proper documentation.
• Moves pipe with overhead crane.
• Reading Tape measuring
• Reading Blueprint
• Other duties may be assigned.
