Job summary

Northwest Pipe Company in Adelanto, CA is seeking welders to perform quality welds and support production in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will operate welding equipment, maintain certifications, and ensure safety standards. Work hours vary and overtime may be required, with Saturday shifts possible.

Applicants should have FCAW/SMAW welding certifications or be able to pass weld tests. Experience in pipe fabrication is preferred, and advancement opportunities are available within a

Qualifications

• One year certified welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Current/valid FCAW 2G and 3G and SMAW 2G, 3G and 7018 certifications preferred.
• Two or more years of experience as a certified welder in a pipe manufacturing facility is highly preferred.
• WELDER I: basic welds under close supervision with available training.
• WELDER II: advanced welding duties with improved supervision and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate welding equipment including welding machine, grinder and cutting torch.
• Clean, grind welds and finish as required.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Repair welds to required specifications.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements, ISO procedures, JSAs and company policies.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor.
