Job summary

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and engaging personality.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to demonstrate basic exercises and safe movement techniques.
• Must be able to perform CPR and/or other first responder duties as trained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the fitness center floor by observing member activity and equipment use, intervening to correct unsafe behaviors and reinforcing YMCA policies.
• Provide high-quality member assistance by demonstrating proper equipment operation and offering basic exercise guidance.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment functionality by cleaning and sanitizing areas and inspecting machines.
• Respond to emergencies following YMCA safety protocols and communicate with leadership.
• Greet members, foster a welcoming atmosphere, and build member relationships to enhance retention.
• Support YMCA programs by sharing information about upcoming classes and wellness opportunities.
