Job summary

YMCA of Greater Hartford Wellness Attendant is a part-time role responsible for supporting the fitness center operations and delivering high-quality service to members, participants, and guests. You will work under the Wellness Director to maintain equipment, greet members, and help connect people to YMCA services.

The position requires strong knowledge of health and fitness principles, exceptional communication, and the ability to engage a diverse member base.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and fitness principles.
• CPR, First Aid & AED required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high levels of customer service with members and guests.
• Make member engagement calls to connect/reconnect members to YMCA services.
• Warmly greet members and anticipate their needs.
• Actively listen to members and respond promptly and appropriately.
• Assist with fitness appointments and ensure proper paperwork processes.
• Regularly check and clean equipment and report any maintenance needs.
