Job summary

D1 Sandy Springs is seeking a Fitness Operations Manager to run the coaching product end to end—athletes, staff, retention, and revenue. You’ll own the floor, set the tone, and drive the KPI dashboard with weekly action on attendance and conversions.

Ideal candidates love data as much as coaching, and can marry team leadership with a strong client close. This in-person role offers growth with a mission-driven culture and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years coaching, personal training, or sports performance experience.
• Certification required: CSCS, NASM, USAW, or equivalent.
• CPR/AED certified, or willing to obtain before start.
• Prior experience in a gym, studio, or franchise environment strongly preferred.
• Comfort with TeamBuildr, a CRM/scheduling platform, and spreadsheets — or the ability to get comfortable fast.

Responsibilities

• You coach group sessions and 1:1 personal training on the floor weekly, setting energy, standards and culture.
• Know every member by name, goal, and progress; lead graduation check-ins and map the next phase.
• Monitor retention and churn; take action to re-engage members and reduce churn.
• Drive growth through assessments, trials, and check-ins; upsell PT and premium packages using member data.
• Hire, train, schedule, and develop the coaching staff; ensure coaching quality and professionalism.
