Job summary

Crunch Fitness is opening a new location in Algonquin, IL, and is seeking a Member Services Representative to join the opening team. You will lead presale outreach, visit local businesses, and convert prospects into founding memberships while preparing for club operations.

Once open, you will support membership sales, member service, and daily club functions, including tours, upgrades, and service requests. The role blends sales with frontline customer care in a dynamic gym environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Sales or customer service experience preferred, ideally in fitness, retail, hospitality, or another service environment.
• Comfortable approaching new people, visiting local businesses, participating in community events, conducting club tours, and asking for the sale.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
• Self-motivated, dependable, receptive to coaching, and comfortable working toward measurable goals.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately enter prospect, membership, and payment information.
• Willingness to perform member service, cleaning, and operational responsibilities once the club opens.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Presale: Bring Fit Fusion’s outreach strategy to life through local business visits, community events, and other approved lead generation activities.
• Presale: Start meaningful conversations, build relationships, and get the community excited about the new club.
• Presale: Explain membership options, planned amenities, and presale offers accurately.
• Presale: Capture accurate lead information, follow up with prospects, address objections, and turn interest into membership enrollments.
• After opening: Welcome and check in members, conduct personalized tours, sell memberships, and achieve sales goals.
• After opening: Explain amenities, promote upgrades and services, and support onboarding/retention.
• Operations: Process agreements/payments, maintain records, and complete cleaning/safety tasks.
