Job summary

The Lodge & Club is seeking a full-time Gym Front Desk colleague to be the first point of contact for members and guests at the fitness center. You will provide exceptional service, maintain a clean front desk, and support daily operations from arrival through departure.

Reporting to the Gym Manager, you will ensure a safe, professional, and engaging experience, including towels, bell/locker access, and POS transactions, with opportunities for growth within Gate Hospitality Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• English communication skills with guests and team members.
• CPR/AED certification required; provided if needed.
• Ability to learn and operate POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedule incl. weekends.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist members and guests entering the fitness center.
• Provide towels, locker access, and other guest amenities as needed.
• Answer incoming fitness center telephone calls, route calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
• Thank members and guests for their visit, gather feedback, and invite them to return.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and fitness center environment.
• Learn and operate the POS system and process all applicable sales transactions.
• Register and sign in new members.
• Attend required meetings, training sessions, safety courses, and departmental functions.
• Identify and report safety concerns and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Become proficient in the operation and safety features of fitness center equipment.
• Assist with nursery operations and children's events when needed.
