OAI is seeking a Fiscal Technician. Requirements
- Supports accounting department functions and Director of Fiscal Operations by providing accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and collecting, reconciling, summarizing information and entering data.
- Education and experience: Double-entry bookkeeping methods, financial record keeping, application of basic accounting principles, and data entry procedures gained through any combination of 2 years post-secondary education in accounting or business administration or demonstrated on-the-job experience. High school diploma at a minimum is required.
- Specific responsibilities: Ability to complete financial transactions by authorizing payments, verify and correct information with documentation, schedule and prepare disbursements, post journal entries, post cash transaction in cash management.
- Prepares special financial reports and bank transfers; prepares and distributes required reports, assists in generating annual W2’s and other magnetic media filing reports, approves ACH payments as needed.
- Maintains records and files documents.
- Ensures account accuracy, checks work, assists and compiles materials as needed.
- Complies with regulatory requirements; increases OAI corporate capacity and effectiveness; maintains and shares professional and technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of accounting, management principles and methods including regulatory laws and program requirements.
