Job summary

Chippewa County is seeking a Fiscal Manager within the Department of Administration Finance Division to oversee the county's financial resources for Human Services and related departments.

The role supports the Finance Director, supervises accountants and staff, and directs budgeting, accounting, grant claims, Medicaid billing, payroll, and contract management, ensuring accurate, timely financial operations for the DHS consortium.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent accounting or finance experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Experience with Medicaid billing preferred.
• Recent human service accounting experience preferred.
• Bondable

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Director in overall administration and management of DHS finances.
• Provide professional fiscal support to DHS staff, directors and boards.
• Oversee contracting, accounts payable, and Medicaid billing for the county consortium.
• Supervise and develop DHS fiscal staff and ensure accurate budgeting and reporting.
