Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Flex Success Coach to guide incoming first-year students and their families through the admissions and orientation process. You will communicate via phone, email, and in-person meetings, and collaborate with the Office of Student Success to promote academic, personal, and career development.

The role emphasizes outreach from December through July and again February through December, with responsibilities including data upkeep, event coordination, and referrals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Counseling, Student Personnel, or related field with 2+ years in college admissions, advising or higher education.
  • 2+ years of experience in college admissions and/or academic advising; experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and student record systems; strong communication and interpersonal abilities; data analysis and reporting skills; multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop rapport with incoming students, parents, and campus stakeholders to assist matriculation at HPU.
  • Provide accurate information about the Office of Student Success during admissions for accepted students.
  • Assist with orientation preparation and communications materials for first-year students and parents.
